The time my meditation practice made me laugh out loud

Meditation practice begins at 6:40
Hello, wonderful Open Heart Project meditator.
This week’s email is a chance to meditate together once again. We just moved to a new house and this is my first video from a brand new place. It was exciting to feel connected to you here.
Before we sit, I share an experience I had during a recent meditation practice. Instruction was being given by a friend and long-time practitioner. One of his pointers gave me an insight into myself that caused me to laugh (good-naturedly) at myself. Have a listen and see if you find it funny too!
With love,
Susan
PS: Please check out my new book, Inexplicable Magic: Meditation for Mystics. It offers seven principles of meditation as a spiritual practice (rather than self-help).
PPS: My podcast, Buddhism Beyond Belief, has episodes on each of the principles should you want to dive deeper.

I love that insight…we are all our own imaginary friend, and meditation practice helps us recognize that. Thanks for sharing this, aligns with much of what I’ve been thinking about/discovering lately.
Hello Susan. Are you still in Austin (where I was born and raised and lived for 52 (!) years or did you move to a new area? I love to imagine your area when I listen to your meditation classes.
I love this idea that I am all the things I decide I am ( underline I decide) as this imaginary person I have all my inner dialogue with!
The lightbulb moment when you said “who am I having this conversation with “ … and on, and on goes that thought..
