Susan, Thank you for returning more often during these unprecedented times. I have always believed and expressed that sharing other’s joy brings me joy. This morning’s physical challenge left me during meditation. I came back to me, the one that I have nourished so I can be present for others and do something to elevate others, to listen generously. What am I trying to say is I appreciate you and respect me more when we meditate together.

Today’s video brought me relief. Thank you. I realized that I had adapted, adjusted, and created a way of living within the Stay at Home model. And then Florida joined the early adopters of OPEN!
Yesterday I felt out of sorts, depressed, angry, lots of disconnected unpleasant stuff. Indeed, my energy and connection was split, but I wasn’t aware of that until I listened this morning
So, I’m paying attention to my senses and am aware of options and choices, and that alone feels so much better. I can adapt to this new phase of covid19 by maintaining my own connection and making peace with where I am.
I know that change is constant, so finding my joy in the midst of ever changing world is worth the practice.
Perhaps the best life skill ever?

Mary Lou, it makes so much sense to feel unmoored. I respect you so much for being willing to work with it all in exactly the way you describe! With love, Susan

Hello Susan, After having a “Bombshell Dropped” a Dr. Treating me for years, Suddenly Resigning, (throwing my world in an additional Panic), where do I turn Now ? The New England Weather has allowed me to be in the Garden, Giving Life, by creating an a situation where there may be some Blossoms in the future ! Often when I Don’t know what’s up People are put in my path to shed some light. A Adage, here is that if you don’t like the Weather, wait a Moment, &, It’ll Change, (New England), This Morning before sitting down to listen, I cane across this by Pema Chodron: “You Are The Sky, Everything Else Is Just The Weather” Reading that, &, Listening to your Talk, Reminding me that Meditation, Is In Essence Bring the Wandering Mind Back With The Breath ! A positive Thought on Change, It’s The only thing that is Constant” Settling my Mind I will Prevail over this Sudden Difficulty / Obstacle ! Thank You Susan

I am finding deep delight in my senses these days. I always have, but it is heightened during this time. I also am appreciating humans more, and relish the time I get to spend with those I am close to, but also find myself feeling extra enlivened by even a simple interaction at a grocery or hardware store.
I love my capacity for joy over simple pleasures. It’s always been where it’s at for me, and now I get to practice it and experience it even more. Part of this practice is sweeping the floor of my cottage, daily. I love the feel of the broom handle in my hands, the swish of the straw against the painted wooden floor, and the connection I feel to my mother every time I sweep. Every day. xox

Just wanted to offer a thank you for joining Dan on the TPH daily meditation (where I learned about your practice) and for your video meditation above. Finding moments of joy, syncing mind & body, taking time to let go…all perfect reminders. Sending good & kind wishes to you, thank you.

Thank you, thank you for this week’s talk on joy. Really needed this!!!
Take away phrases for me, especially for today –
“I am vital, vibrant, and awake right here.”
“Begin your practice by letting go.”
“Take joy in other people’s joy.”
    … I deeply appreciate you.

    Richard
