I have teenage children who live in what I find to be intolerable conditions in their rooms. Considering Susan’s teachings on this topic I am wondering if their physcial spaces are mirroring the chaos in thier rapidly changing bodies and minds. Curious as to what you all think!

In my own childhood, I lived under a kind of an authoritarian home regime where I was not allowed to leave anything at all on any surface (nor able to choose the color scheme or decor, etc, but that’s another story). So I choose to leave my kids to their chaos and just have them shut their doors so it doesn’t infect other parts of the home :). It does lend to some kindness towards this behavior, the notion that their spaces are relating to their own inner chaos.
