Please pop in any time to share how you are doing, what you’re reading, what you wish for.

Wanted to share my experience yesterday with you lovely humans. In my morning writing prompt for what I am afraid of, “space” was my first thought. This came back to me in a few ways throughout the day. I recognized how quickly I want to fill space in my evening, how rare it is in a day to encounter more than a few minutes at a time of just space. Should I go to the gym, to yoga, for a walk, pick up a magazine, anything but nothing!! I ended up just sitting in my backyard, feeling, really feeling the breeze and not just seeing leaves sway and twinkle (aspen!) but experiencing them doing so. It was magic. And it’s just there, space! Totally full of everything but nothing.

This is beautiful, Nicole; thank you for sharing with us. I think a lot of us can relate to lack of space; I love the way you spent your precious time just sitting in nature.

      Hello friends.

What a beautiful beginning to our 30 day journey together.

I loved the toe-dip we took into the realm of protection on Wednesday.

      Openness-container
      Relaxing-ritual
      No spiritual bypassing-using protection.

Rich areas that can ‘sound’ mutually exclusive yet ironically feel inseparable.

      Look forward to more exploration!

      Warmly,
      Billy

Speaking of what we are reading these days, I just ordered Susan’s Inexplicable Joy and Sam’s Rude Awakenings (both on Bookshop.org of course!) and am eager to dive into them both during these 30 Days together.

I was very moved by the sharing and conversation that occurred on Wednesday’s meditation meeting and since then have been thinking about curiosity, warriorship, bravery, vulnerability etc. It’s a lot. Not in a bad way. It’s just a lot – being human, being open to heartbreak. And how meditation practice is THE WHOLE THING. I am not articulating myself clearly because it’s all swirling around. Also not in a bad way. Somehow Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s words about meditation being about becoming friends with ourselves is also hanging around. Now I will go clean that carpet that has needed cleaning all year.
