Audio recording of "The Wisdom of a Broken Heart"
May 18, 2010 | 8 CommentsAm planning to create an unabridged audio book of “The Wisdom of a Broken Heart.” I’m going to record and edit it myself and I’m really excited about it. I see it as a chance to add some of the insights and stories I’ve garnered in the 4 months since the book was published.
I’m also going to include “extras,” such as the following:
Meditation instruction for The Practice of Tranquility
Loving kindness meditation instruction
Loving kindness meditation instruction for the one who broke your heart
Interview excerpts
As a bonus, I’ll include a 5-minute video of me giving additional tips for starting the 7-Day Rescue & Relief program. It requires a certain mindset and I want to go into some detail about how to prepare mentally.
Is there anything else you’d like to see included? I’d love to know!!
Thanks so much for all your support–
xo Susan

I’m really excited about this, and I’ve never bought an audio book in my life. But I feel like The Wisdom of a Broken Heart is my syllabus on heartbreak.
I’m thrilled to hear this and can’t wait to get the audiobook into your hands!
It will also include meditation instruction, which I hope will be helpful. Is there anything else you’d like to see included?
Oh, that is great!
Perhaps somehow addressing possible changes in friends/support system as a result of a divorce or breakup? I’ve found that just as heartbreaking as dealing with the loss of the beloved himself.
Carol, this is a great idea. I’m going to really think about what I might be able to say that could be of help. Please stay tuned and it’s always great to hear from you. Love, Susan
How to get through the day when you work with your ex 🙂
Jude, a very difficult situation indeed! I’m going to include detailed loving kindness meditation instruction on the audiobook and I believe this could be a very helpful thing– I already have instruction here: http://susanpiver.com/meditation_resources.htm#meditation if you’d like to give it a try.
Let me know if you have questions! Susan
Did this ever happen, Susan? I’d like to obtain a copy.
Yes and no! It’s recorded but not finalized into a saleable “product.” Soon, I hope. In the meantime, can I send you an MP3 file of any particular chapter?
