    Hi Susan,

I am planning to be there in May. Looking forward to being with you on the mountain.

    Susan,
I love your description and explanation of how and why a container is created by the comfort & boundaries of parameters such as being awake, a timer and another person. I’ve heard folks use the term body doubling – sitting in another person’s presence to support each other getting something hard done. I too have used it to get things done I don’t wanna do – like finishing work reports or organizing some stuff – like your bathroom. Creatively I’ve used the limits of materials and time to push me to make something- for someone else.

But!! I’ve never applied these principles to the very personal task of “writing down my bones.” I’ve done the mini of “morning pages” – but I didn’t let myself fully dive in – and let myself engage with that rich contained time. This weekend I’m using your suggestions you gave the OHP a while ago to do a mini writing retreat with a friend to kick it off this process.
I’m going to see if I can’t get myself to your retreat in May. It feels urgent – things need to be released from within- and your container feels like it will hold me to do so. Thank you Susan for your wisdom.
