Hi Matt. I too believe the karma of Magnetize has a huge new place in my life. I have been a striver all my life so waiting for the next step after fully considering what’s really happening then acting feels new. These days what comes are symbols or dreams or synchronicities that tell me if I am on the right path.Magic!

Hi Jake. Thank you for your heart ablaze. I felt the energy shift from you (and me too) helping someone when you are feeling depleted yet that act of helping giving you (and me)energy.

At first the suggestion to practice the heart sutra felt too religious. Staying with my discomfort I then thought of inspiring poets Mary Oliver, Rumi, Hafiz who describe the ineffable, the great mystery, offering me felt connection to groundlessness. Perhaps the heart sutra is another way. We’ll see.

I find posting OK and reading others’ posts interesting. What doesn’t work so well is lack of conversation. And I understand the need for safe disclosures in the breakout groups yet would like more dialogue. My understanding of What’s App is it’s not back and forth either. Maybe it’s coming in the weeks ahead.

Hi to Penelope and thank you for the suggestion of practice as an invitation. I am longing for connection to my spiritual self yet not always devoting time to listening to her. I now see a cardweight embossed paper invitation with scrolling font from her that elegantly asks for my presence on my cushion and on my yoga mat, and yes also on the red carpet of living fully in my life.

I have been contemplating generosity this week and have realized I can be more generous towards myself. I have been fantasizing and being, and of course also striving but more gently. The transcendent component I think is people around me see me as generous…but I am still exploring the quality of transcendence.

    Hi David
My understanding of transcendent discipline is that what you do has influences on others. In your case it’s your dog! Your dog being happier is feedback that you are going in the right direction….I think.

    Hi Joell
Finding comfort in what is to me is an act of great courage. Bravo. Making mistakes is human. Being a human is what I have to tell myself every day.
Your last statement about letting go of anger lets you lose attachment to what has happened sounds to me like numbing out. Letting go of anger is for me discarding energy so I try to use the energy of anger towards something, for example writing a poem or helping someone get groceries or digging in the garden. Thank you for your risk taking.

Right now my own age 75 is less concerning than that I am a caregiver for my 86 yr. old husband and 96 yr. old aunt. I retain lots of misgivings about how I cared for my parents in their dying years so I’m turning that suffering into learning again. I feel raw emotion, resentments, and precious love. Right effort is guiding me somewhere new that feels unsettling and real yet less burdensome than I expected.

I meditate in many different places so I attempt to have a window view or an outside view as my shrine….that way no matter where I am I can practice. As an addition my offering needs to be portable so I have been offering my full presence. That works very well. My lineage is for me my mandala, my circle of support and direction, my guides. This includes my family, my chosen family, my teachers of all times and now my Secret Teachers. This practice has enriched my meditation the last 2 weeks, infusing it with expansion, space!

Hello. This is Maureen from Nova Scotia Canada. I have practiced meditation for many years and for some I was loosely attached to the local Shambhala sangha. My interest in this course is practical. I believe living a more intentional spiritual life offers us humans a chance to contribute sanity to our crazy world so I am looking to this course for ways to do so.
