Born on Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, a country which no longer exists, and living in Groningen, The Netherlands, I'm living a happily married life to Mechtild de Wit. Two daughters accompany us on our journey. We have had the pleasure to also live, learn and work in Aruba and Bonaire for many of our years. I've fulfilled many roles and functions in society. Currently I spend most time in an academic teaching and research environment and governance roles. I love socializing, listening to music, sports, exploring, reading, reflecting, writing. My spiritual journey and investigations have been with me as long as I remember and I've been meditating off and on since 2003.
