January 9, 2025   |   22 Comments

Hello and I hope you’re starting the new year in a place of love and safety. May 2025 be a year of joyful connection, deepening, understanding, and sanity.

Every year, I write a recap of what happened in the OHP sangha and where we are headed. Please have a look at your leisure and let me know what you think. I always love to hear from you.

What a lovely and informative yearly wrap-up, road map and reflection! I so appreciate your openness and humanity as well as your willingness to lead us forward in confidence and in your own style. I’ve learned so much from this sangha and plan to continue adding pieces in 2025.
I’m so sorry about the huge hole from the death of your beloved cat. They wrap themselves around our hearts completely, don’t they. I love the drawing at the end of the report–it seems like it would be comforting.
All the best in your continued healing!

Thanks for this response, Meg and, yes, they do wrap themselves around our hearts. The drawing (from a sangha member) was comforting! I look forward to continue to practice together. Susan

Thank you for adding something for those of us who find that EST schedules all come at dawn (not my time) or meal time for my little crew. I have made good use of the recordings and for many purposes recordings are fine. But it will be nice to have an option. Maybe after this experiment, you will want to add other options.

that would be great! i would love this too. stay tuned.

It took me a couple of tries, but now I have found my sangha home -exactly where I need to be- precisely because you are a woman and a householder who speaks directly to my lived experience. I look forward to the new teachings this year with a heart filled with gratitude. What an amazing, beautiful space you have created.

So happy to practice together, Christine. <3 S

Huge thanks Susan to you and all the team at the OHP. The daily audio is my go to last thing at night, I appreciated the inspirational tone of the BMNY talks and I look forward to the monthly newsletter. Our circle is a vibrant and caring one.
I felt profoundly sad when I read of all the losses in your personal life this year and thank you for sharing that with us. Deepest sympathy for you on the loss of your beloved teacher and beautiful cat. I wish you a speedy recovery from the surgery and am awed that you are back to work so quickly. Please take care of yourself.
The program for this year sounds somewhat esoteric and daunting. I have Catherine Macoun’s book on my bookshelf so maybe it’s time for some study. I know that you’ll skillfully guide us through the year and the ‘curriculum’.
Last, but not least, may I say again how much you have come to mean to me and what a huge part you play in my daily life.
Please keep up the good work.
    Bowing deeply,
    Maggie (Luxembourg /Ireland)

I so appreciate the depth of your work, and your willingness to share so much of yourself with the sangha. All that you have planned for the year ahead
makes me so grateful; what a blessing to be part of what you’ve created.
It’s a comfort to know you are in the world.

Dear Susan, This “Annual Report” is filled with beauty! Beauty reflected from the photos and your words; the beauty from all that happened in 2024 for us in OHP and for the beauty in all that you plan to offer in 2025. It’s quite magical all that you were able to offer us during “your year of slowing down” and having many, many major difficult experiences…you modeled true warriorship. I could go on and on. But just one last thing, I particularly appreciate your moving us into living into a realm of mystics (“We dream on behalf of others”) in contrast to the current “Jealous god realm”. I’m eager for your guidance for 2025. With appreciation and love, Betsy

The sun is beginning to rise as I write this comment. I’m reminded that I saw the full moon then sat to read your report as day dawned. At this moment an amazing east coast sunrise is unfolding in the USA. Perfect bookends for reading this Beautiful letter. It’s clearly much e than a report.
Thank you for this gift. I shall read it often as it feels like an invaluable guide for living on this planet and reminds me that I have a CHOICE as to he I experience life.

Thank you so much for this response, Mary Lou. It’s a privilege to practice together. <3 S
