What does it mean to live with an awakened heart?
Most of us come to meditation wanting to feel calmer, or to stop getting so reactive. That’s a fine place to start. But practice has a way of asking more of us — it points toward making wisdom and compassion the ground we actually stand on.
From August 10–18, I’m leading an immersive retreat with my dear friend Michael Carroll at Drala Mountain Center: Proclaiming Basic Sanity: Living the Bodhisattva Path. We’ll meditate together, study the teachings, and look closely at what helps us stay steady and openhearted when life gets hard — and what it takes to carry that heart into ordinary days.
