The Friday evening talk is open to all – attendance is free.
A meditation practice gives rise to compassion, wisdom, and confidence–all of which seem to disappear in our most intimate relationships. The closer we get to another person, the more difficult it becomes to be kind. Relationships present our deepest challenges along the spiritual path.
This weekend programme will explore the juncture of spirituality and relationships via talks from Susan, group discussion, and meditation practices. You will gain insights into falling in love, sustaining love, and losing love, and learn on-the-spot practices to bring mindfulness off the cushion and into your relationships.
We will explore:
Join writer and Buddhist teacher Susan Piver for an exploration of love as a spiritual practice.
Susan has been a student of Buddhism since 1993, graduated from a Buddhist seminary in 2004 and was authorized to teach meditation in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage in 2005.
In 2012, she launched the Open Heart Project, a completely virtual meditation center that lives in the cloud. There are close to 20,000 members all over the world who receive free weekly guided meditation videos from her.
