A 9 week live online program with Susan Piver and Crystal Gandrud
March 20 – May 22 | 3:00 – 4:30 pm ET | $299.00
February 5th is Losar, the new year in the Tibetan calendar. According to astrological tradition, this is an Earth Boar year. Optimism and prosperity—with a soupçon d’indulgence—are the main qualities of such a year. Hopefully, this means that we will all be a little bit more chill in 2019!
As many of you know, the Open Heart Project has grown very organically. In every way, it has been co-created in conversations between you and me. It seems that we have been in a mysterious, profound dialog since the beginning (which was this very day in 2011!). The best way to know what others need is to ask them and listen to their truth. When someone tells you the truth, they are paying you a great compliment. You have paid me many compliments and for that, I bow to you.
What you have told me is clear and it is this: I LOVE meditation and find that it is changing me in so many ways that I both do and do not understand. Where and how do I discover more about this?
I have done my best to respond to that question but until now I knew that I was not ready to offer the best answer. Now, after a lot of contemplation and preparation, I am ready to say, You can discover your genuine path right here in the Open Heart Project. We are ready. Sooooooo, with great delight, OHP is offering Introduction to the Open Heart Path: An Invitation to Your Authentic Life.
It is tempting to call this a course or a curriculum, but really it is so much more than that. My aspiration is that it is a genuine path. Paths are personal, meaningful, endlessly unfolding. We carry them with us through throughout our lives as the guide to our inner knowing. The Open Heart Path emphasizes learning about and using your life as the path. Your life as it is now holds everything you need to discover who you truly are. Although we will look quite intensively at the wisdom Buddhism offers, the emphasis is not on changing you but how to apply this wisdom to your life to discover confidence and joy. It is an immersive path, meaning you bring yourself to the material and the material changes and informs you. It is a very intimate way.
You will know you’re learning and growing because you will experience your own wisdom more directly and feel more grounded in whatever your life is like right now. It is all waiting to be discovered by you. I cannot tell you how but I can give you the tools you need to discover it for yourself!
Introduction to the Open Heart Path: An Invitation to Your Authentic Life includes ten learning modules, one per week, beginning March 20th, 2019. They follow basic Buddhist logic and include lots of contemplations and opportunities to practice the teachings in everyday life. Together, we will journey from meditation practice to meditation in action to magic and back again.
I cannot tell you how moved and delighted I am to be stepping on the path with you. Yes, it has been happening all along but something is changing here. Something has been planted, we cared for it and now, miraculously, it is blossoming. I’ve been thinking a lot about buds on trees in spring. One minute they aren’t there and the next they are. I often wonder, how did that happen? The process is quite alchemical. None of us knows exactly what the path may be but we can create the conditions for it to create itself.
