Agnes Martin, Friendship, 1963
Sitting in a little chair in her Taos, New Mexico, studio, Agnes Martin would wait and wait, sometimes for weeks on end, for inspiration to arrive. And arrive it would, as if delivered by USPS. For Agnes Martin inspiration showed up as a fully-formed mental image of a painting about… READ MORE

The world of Buddhism is ever enriched by psychonauts willing to explore the outer limns and depths and live to tell about it. We enter and muddle about in the realm of the mind. We poke around in the corridors of thought and sensation called consciousness and its vaster twin,… READ MORE

This theme is very fitting for me right now. I am in the midst of changing jobs/careers. I found out in November that my department is being eliminated at the end of December. I have been interviewing this week and am now waiting to see if I will be called back for the next round of interviews. So far I have interviewed with 5 individuals.
The space of not knowing if I will be called back for the next round is a challenging place for me. I want to control this moment in my life, but I can’t. The space of not knowing is learning to trust that things will work out and I should take this opportunity to learn to sit in this space and just “be”. It is a frustrating place to be.
Yes, it is a frustrating place and I hope your job/career will fall into place easily! In the meantime, there is a chance to explore what remains when “knowing” is not an option. I truly wish you the best…keep us posted… Much love, Susan
“On the Spiritual journey, not knowing is more instructive than anything.” (Love this!)
Needing to have all the answers and have perfect clarity about everything before I can move forward, has led me to feel like there is something wrong with me when the clarity does not arrive.
I often feel uncomfortable to answer “I don’t know yet” when others ask what my next step in life is.
I see things differently now.
Thank you for this talk, Susan.
It was so helpful.
Ann, you are so welcome. So very happy this was useful and timely. And any reminder our practice can offer that there is nothing wrong with you is valuable. Glad we can practice it all together. With love, Susan

❤️Don’t know what reason things happen, often don’t know what to say.
❤️Simplicity and intuition working together. This Reminders are helpful.
Thank you Susan for giving this teaching and orientation – not knowing what to do sometimes is frightening. But small action helps against anxiety.
So , today listening and practice together is helpful step. Step by step. Never look at the whole street just the next step said Bepo ( the street cleaner) to Momo.
So happy this is helpful!! With love, S
