July Theme 2023: Creating a Sacred Life: Samadhi

Dear wonderful sangha,

It is my pleasure to speak with you about samadhi (meditative absorption in Sanskrit), the fifth of the six paramitas or perfected qualities of a meditator.

Meditative absorption is a fruition paramita. It’s a mark of someone who has practiced quite a bit. But the truth is that we’ve all experienced meditative absorption at different times in our lives. When something liminal happens to us such as a birth, a death, a marriage, falling in love, falling out of love, or experiencing heartbreak, it puts us into moments of meditative absorption.

I hope you enjoy this video on my thoughts around samadhi. Practice regularly and I hope to speak to you again soon.

Warmly,

Crystal

Thank you, Crystal. So delightful to listen to the sound of your voice and the wisdom of your words. And, somehow I took away encouragement from your teachings! With appreciation, Betsy

It was about…six-foot-eight…it was half-bull, half-man, and its… READ MORE
