Audio only version is here.

As you may know, for the last 8 weeks we have been looking at each of the steps along the noble eightfold path. (But if you’re just joining us, no worries. There is nothing you need to catch up on. Just jump in right here.)

This week, we examine Right Absorption (or Samadhi in Sanskrit). To be absorbed means to rest in mindfulness-awareness 24/7. Rather than experiencing moments of wakeful presence, you are simply wakefully present, period. You never depart this state. This is synonymous with enlightenment.

With love, Susan

PS Did you know that you could join the Open Heart Project Sangha and gain access to ALL THE VIDEOS I have ever made?! This includes meditations, classes, talks, and gatherings of all kinds. There are over 1000 videos in the archives. You also get access to the Daily Dharma Gathering–a live 30-minute gathering every single day with a different Buddhist teacher. These are only a few of the things you get when you join. Everything in the Sangha is designed to help you deepen and stabilize your practice through great teachers, teachings and, most important, the companionship of a large online community of fellow seekers. I hope you will consider it! I made it for you with a lot of love. <3 S
