SUMMARY:Mommy Sangha
DESCRIPTION:The Open Heart Project Mommy Sangha: A supportive gathering of moms\, stepmoms\, and grandmothers to practice meditation together and share our wisdom\nAre you a mom (or stepmother or grandmother) who longs to practice meditation but can’t find time amidst the demands–and joys and difficulties–of caring for young children? \nParenting\, no matter how desired (and enjoyed)\, may come with fatigue\, self-doubt\, and the natural question: who the hell am I now? Meditation can help by offering space to breathe. Sangha (Sanskrit for community) helps by assuring you that you are most definitely not alone. Together\, meditation and Sangha can help you to remain present during the long days and short years of caring for your little ones. \nWhether you have a meditation practice (or used to have one) or are a brand new beginner\, you are warmly invited to join the Mommy Sangha. During this weekly 30-minute gathering\, you will be guided in a short meditation practice followed by a chance to connect with other mothers. We will also meet quarterly for a longer practice session and a special talk on how to apply Buddhist mindfulness principles to motherhood. \nThe Mommy Sangha will exist as a continuous presence for you to participate in as you are interested and able. And\, while we will be emphasizing the experiences of caring for younger children\, all mothers are welcome.\nWe promise to: \n\nProvide meditation instruction\nAnswer questions about meditation\nModerate the dialog to keep it meaningful and on point\nFoster kindness\nKeep it short!\n\nWhere: In the comfort of your own home via the Zoom meeting platform. Each session will be recorded so you can practice with the Mommy Sangha even if you can’t attend the live gathering. \n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n  \nAbout Jenna Hollenstein\nNew mom\, mindfulness teacher\, and Founder and Nutrition Therapist at Eat to Love\, Jenna aims to bring the gentle sanity of Buddhist principles to every aspect of her personal and professional life. She is excited to support Mommy Sangha members to create and sustain a meditation practice that creates awareness\, lovingkindness\, and self-compassion. Her greatest teachers include Susan\, her partner Andrea\, and her son Mimmo. \nAbout the Open Heart Project\nCreated by meditation teacher and writer Susan Piver\, the OHP is an online meditation center. It shares all the qualities of a traditional dharma center: A shared practice. Workshops. Advanced courses. Retreats. Guest teachers. Community gatherings—all online and available to you 24/7. Currently\, there are close to 15000 members all over the world who are practicing meditation to recover a sense of balance\, cultivate fearlessness\, sharpen our minds\, and soften our hearts. While each may practice alone\, we also practice together to create a network of sanity and kindness. More information about the Open Heart Project can be found here. \nOnce you register\, your account will be charged automatically every 30 days\, unless or until you cancel. \nQuestions? SUMMARY:Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche "The Lost Art of Good Conversation"

SUMMARY:How mindfulness can help your coaching clients create change
DESCRIPTION:Don’t you just love those sessions with clients when you’re totally on the same page\, helping to connect their goals with their deepest values\, and breaking down the barriers that have prevented them from bringing lasting\, positive change into their lives? \nSessions that are so full of connection\, hope\, and direction. \nSo full of momentum.\n \nAnd yet\, so often that momentum dissolves the moment your client walks out the door or hangs up the call. \nWhen it comes down to it\, our clients live most of their lives away from us. Even if we are able to speak with them an hour a week\, they spend most of their time out there in the world\, where it can be difficult to recall those hopeful\, connected moments of your sessions together. \nWhat if there were a way to help our clients maintain that momentum and create lasting change? A way to bring such energy beyond the walls of your conversations and into the daily actions they take. \nI used to feel so frustrated for my nutrition therapy clients who arrived at one session feeling badly about failing to take the steps we agreed on at our last session. For so long\, I wondered what would help them bring the energy and momentum of our sessions into the rest of their lives. \nAnd after years of searching in my professional (and private) life\, I finally found the secret ingredient. \nThe short answer is mindfulness\, but there’s so much more to it than that. \nI’d love to share this secret ingredient with you during a free webinar on Tuesday\, September 12th at noon eastern time. \nPlease join me for this webinar\, How mindfulness can help your coaching clients create lasting change to help your clients go from just aspiring to create change to truly executing. \nSign up here to be added to our list. \n\nCan’t make the training time? Enter your email address and we’ll send you a 48 hour replay link\, however\, you will miss out on being able to ask questions and receive any resources shared on the day of the webinar\, so we encourage you to attend live if you can.\n \nTerms of Use/Privacy Policy

SUMMARY:Mommy Sangha Quarterly Check-in
DESCRIPTION:The Open Heart Project Mommy Sangha: A supportive gathering of moms\, stepmoms\, and grandmothers to practice meditation together and share our wisdom\nOur August 9th gathering will be another of our hour long Quarterly Check-ins where guest speaker Ariela Rosenstein will talk about mindfulness and meditation for kids.\nAriela Rosenstein works in the global non-profit sector in the areas of adult education and capacity building. She has been practicing meditation for over ten years\, and is a recent graduate of the Open Heart Project’s meditation teacher training course. Ariela has since been teaching meditation and mindfulness in schools\, libraries\, and agencies. She is particularly passionate about mindful leadership and mindful parenting\, the latter of which will be the focus of the Mommy Sangha’s August 9th quarterly check-in. She will showcase the activities\, children’s books\, and tactics that she shares with children\, as well as lead a discussion on the ongoing challenges that we face in cultivating calm and presence in ourselves and in our little ones. \nIt’s also a chance to discuss our practice\, past gatherings and things we’d like to see discussed in the future.\nAre you a mom (or stepmother or grandmother) who longs to practice meditation but can’t find time amidst the demands–and joys and difficulties–of caring for young children? \nParenting\, no matter how desired (and enjoyed)\, may come with fatigue\, self-doubt\, and the natural question: who the hell am I now? Please email Michele \n
