Hello Open Heart Project,
Hello, I hope you are well and riding the waves of powerful change with wisdom and compassion for yourself and all beings. A big wish! But, really, the only wish that makes sense right now. I send it to you with all my heart.
In early March, I decided to send you one meditation per week instead of one per month. It just felt right to be together more consistently. We also began offering four live daily meditations per day, free, open to all. We offered five weekend retreats. We continue to devise offerings to bring us together and offer support.
I began in March with the six paramitas or transcendent actions. For some reason, I stopped after number four! Last week, I picked up with paramita five (meditative absorption) and this week we close out the paramitas with number six, prajna or wisdom. There is nothing we need more right now than wisdom. And since wisdom is considered inseparable from compassion, in studying prajna we get the best “twofer” imaginable. Please enjoy.
This seems like the right place to conclude our weekly connection and switch back to monthly videos–not because I don’t want to be in closer touch, I do! But my teaching commitments have expanded and expanded beyond what I would have imagined and I am getting overwhelmed. In everything I do, I want to offer you my best. If you want to stay in touch every week, please join the Open Heart Project Sangha. It costs $$ so I know it’s not possible for everyone. In all cases, we are going to continue to offer daily meditations at 9a, 3p, 6p ET. This will continue through the end of the summer. Each sit is 30-minutes long and is completely FREE. Open to all. The schedule is here.
